ABOUT OUR COSTS!Some of our work is costed at a "fixed fee" and other work is costed by item or time. The reason for the two methods is that in undertaking some work we can be reasonably certain how long it will take us. Other work is much more uncertain. The time it may take may depend on some other person offering resistance to your claims!Fixed fee work includes home sales and purchases, powers of attorney, some wills, advice on loan documents and guarantees. Please request more details. Billing Work completed within a month or so is billed on completion, but matters which are anticipated to take more than a month will be billed on a monthly basis or at our discretion or on completion. If money is paid to you through our office or we receive it into our trust account, we then ask you to pay us when the money is handed or paid to you. Any amount not paid on completion, is due within 7 days. The sample account below details our charges for costing "by item or time". In addition to the charges in the sample account, you must add to it any amount which we incur or pay for you. These expenses are called "disbursements". We ask you to pay disbursements into our trust account before those expenses are incurred. The expenses are paid from the Trust Account as they are incurred. In accordance with usual commercial practice, the charges are subject to change without notice. If you have engaged our services, then of course a change in the charges will only occur in accordance with the agreement made with you.
